THe WINEMAKING

The grapes were sourced from the cool-climate Adelaide Hills, where crisp nights and sunny days create wines of purity and vibrancy.

This Sauvignon Blanc is a fresh, aromatic expression of the region, bursting with bright citrus and green tones. Expect fragrant notes of cut grass, snap pea, lemon and lime on the nose leading to a beautifully balanced palate of gooseberry, passionfruit and honeydew. Lively acidity and a touch of fruit sweetness makes for an irresistibly refreshing finish.

Taste profile

Primary flavors

Lemon

Lemon imparts crisp, zesty notes dance on the palate. From zest to pith to juice to candied rind, from salty eggy lemon curd to sweeter tangy flesh, lemon flavour often lives where wine’s acidity crackles.

Lime

Wines with high acidity taste tart and zesty. White wines are often described with characteristics similar to lemon or lime juice.

Secondary flavors

Green Apple

A wine tasting ‘green’ is not the same as having flavours from the ‘green fruit’ category, such as green apple and pear. Green apple flavour enhances wine with a tangy or crisp element.

Gooseberry

Gooseberry flavour is typically found in young Sauvignon Blanc. The reason for this this is because Sauvignon Blanc and Gooseberries produce the same group of chemical compounds. Think fruity, tangy, prickly tropical fruits.
